Savoury Beef Mince

Savoury mince is a quick and easy meal that is great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is full of gut healing foods. It is great to freeze so you always have a quick meal on standby. You can get creative but this is my basic recipe.

Savoury Beef Mince

Ingredients

500g grass fed/finished minced beef
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely grated
2 tablespoons ghee
1 carrot, coarsely grated
1 zucchini, coarsely grated
1 cup Nomato sauce or tomato passata
1/2 cup chicken or beef meat stock
2 tablespoons beef organ powder (optional)
1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
handful chopped fresh basil
handful chopped fresh parsley
2 teaspoons sea salt

Cooking Instructions

1

In a large frypan, heat ghee and add onions. Saute until soft.

2

Add zucchini and carrot, and cook until the vegetables start to soften.

3

Add minced beef and garlic to the frypan. Break up the mince with a wooden spoon and cook until the beef is browned.

4

Add Nomato or tomato sauce, stock, beef organ powder, dried herbs, and salt. Stir to combine.

5

Cook for 15 minutes or until the desired consistency is reached. Add more stock or water if the mixture becomes too dry.

6

Serve on its own or with zucchini noodles, sauerkraut, and a dollop of 24-hour sour cream.
